The World Health Organisation has declared the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic a public health emergency of international concern.
Warnborough College takes the health and well-being of our students and staff very seriously, and are continuously monitoring the situation as it develops.
We wish to prepare for (and stymie) the possible spread of the virus.
As such, we have decided to take the following measures:
- From Wednesday, 18th March 2020, the College premises at Lower Bridge Street will be closed. All our staff, teachers and colleagues will work or teach online, where possible, from their own homes.
- Do not come to the College to attend classes – these will be cancelled or replaced with online options with immediate effect.
- If you are studying at one of our learning centres, please contact your centre’s management team for more information about what to do.
- Colleagues and students who are at most risk from the coronavirus should immediately socially distance themselves from others, and contact their appropriate health bodies for assistance.
We ask that you bear with us during this difficult time if we are unable to respond to all requests immediately. Remote working has its advantages AND disadvantages.
Examinations
Online students sitting for final examinations will be moved to an online setting. To do this, you must have a good internet connection, a computer with a web browser, headphones and microphone (please do not use Bluetooth or other wireless microphones), and a form of government ID (e.g. passport or driving licence with a clear photograph and your details listed in English). Examinees will receive more information prior to the exam.
If you have specific enquiries, you can contact us.
Above all, keep safe!
